Title: fL hog hunt
Post by: klong67 on June 10, 2018, 01:43:22 PM
My daughter and I had another great hog hunt. I got two nice hogs with my Sauer 101 in 338 win mag. Taylor got a real nice red hog with her Vanguard 308 using her own hand loads. This is the only rifle she likes hunting with.

Congratulations Ken and Taylor on a great looking trio of hogs. What area of Florida do you hunt? Hunting from a blind, are there feeders in the area, and if thats not legal, what draws them out in the open? Are these day hunts only or nights also.

Danno- It was in Eustis Florida, just north of Orlando. It was a two day hunt. No feeder but they put out some corn in the morning to draw them out cause it is so thick. The smaller hogs would come out and in just a few minutes the corn would be all gone. If you were patient, and not shoot the smaller ones,  the larger hogs would come around mostly in the evening before dark.
