Has anyone tried to redrill a .300-.378 accumark barrel to .378? Does the barrel have enough diameter to do this or will it require a whole new barrel? I'm considering building an African Accumark

Welcome to the forum: if Iremember right my 378's had #3 barrels and the 30-378 probably has a #2 unless it is an accumark. Might be more practical to rebarrel.

I don't and haven't owned one but I did look around and I couldn't come up with anything. Still, it probably doesn't make a lot of sense to redrill, ream and re-rifle unless you know someone that already has everything necessary to do that. It would be cheaper just to send the action into Weatherby and have a new barrel put on it.

Just to be clear, you are talking about the original question right.

The easiest and wisest thing to do is to have it rebarreled.
