Not sure I would design them a cartridge as they have that pretty well covered. What I would do is have them chamber the 7mm Weatherby mag in their Vanguard line up with an 8 twist 26" barrel.

JMO but if you are looking for quality at a good price the older Leupolds and Denver Redfields are hard to beat. I have several of each and really like them.

Happy Easter to all you guys.

Get in touch with them on their web page .There is a contact us page. I used that and was soon answered.

I've read some real good things about the Garmin unit. How easy it is to set up, carry and use. Small compact unit.

I too got in touch through email with CS at Weatherby and got a very prompt reply. Thank you Allen

As many have poste a good well constructed bullet such as BB340 mentioned ( 115 Barnes 120 Nosler Part) will get the job done. I have been involved in at least 55+ moose kills. They are not a difficult animal to kill. They aren't  high strung like deer. I've hit deer right through the heart and they still went 75 yrd. Hit a moose good and it will generally stumble a few feet and fall, BUT if you hit it wrong it turns to steel and will take you to the dirtiest places you can imagine. Place the bullet in the proper spot regardless of caliber and things should go good. JME

Why do you feel this way?

Well it seems like every year there is one model less that chambers the 7mm Weatherby. The factory ammo offerings have been reduced. No more 175 gr Interlock. At one point or other the 257-270-300 Wea mags were offered or are still offered in the Vanguard line up. Not so for the 7mm. They offer the 7mm Rem mag with a 9 twist, not so for the 7mm Weatherby. All this adds up to me as an over looked  cartridge. JMO

I have always felt and posted that IMO the 7mm Weatherby mag is the very best of all the 7mm mags and completely ignored by Weatherby.

I use that same bullet in my 300 Win with R-26. I get 3225 ft/sec with 5/8" group. Great accurate killing bullet
