i reload for my 300.i have had a 7 mm reminton in a m 70 years ago.should have kept that one.my uncle was going to buy a roy in 7 mm weatherby but went to the 8 mm magnum.i think i will get the 7 mm roy i have enough mony for the ammo.

i was thinking of trading my 300 roy for a 7 mm roy.i hunt deer now. a elk hunt is out of the ? now because of mony constraints.a mark v seems like a way to go.the 300 roy is getting hard on my shoulder any more.what are your thoughts on the 7 mm roy and what are your deer loads that you use.i have the delux version i got through the the bank of boulder back in the early 80s.it has a brown fiber glass stock and a # 2 26 in barrel.also does weatherby rebarrel there rifles, for this is a way i may go with.

given a 7 mm in the magnum ,what are your thoughts for its use on elk at long range,up to say 1000 yards as shone on the tv shows long range pursuit and best of the west plus extreme outer limits.i am told that it does not put them down like a 30 cal.

do you think the 25-06 is supiorer over the 240 or on a pare given a deer animal that you are hunting the range of shooting is a max of 500 yards.thank you for your time.

my brother has a 25-06 for deer.i had one but to get meat from deer I lost a bit over my 300 weatherby  in comparing them.i assume the 240 will not do that.looking to purchase a gun in the summer with my wifes dog money.she rases goidendoodles and labondoodles.
