90 heat index again!  3 days left in hurricane season if mother nature follows our rules!   ;D

Now that is funny. ;D

Altitude sickness is nothing to sneeze at. When I first hunted in Wyoming at age 36 after a life below 1000 ft I developed a headache from hell. Any exertion including standing up or walking resulted in intense pain. Any type of exertion was was rewarded by the most intense headache I ever experienced.  Since then I have become acclimated and no longer have these problems.

I was kinda thinking the same thing but the determining factor was that the .257 can handle heavier bullets. As I mentioned sometime ago, if I got to my elk hunting area and found I had mistakenly grabbed my .257 instead of my .300 I wouldn't drive the 20+ miles back home to get my .300. I'd hunt with the .257 and not be worried about being undergunned.

See if you can find someone with a .257 Wby in a MK V and let her try it. The weight of the Mk V will help mitigate the recoil and a good recoil pad will improve on that. She has killed quite a bit of big game with her .243 so she doesn't have a problem with bullet placement. Being able to handle heavier bullets is a big factor in the .257's success.

I tried it on factory .240 Mag and got good results. You'll have to find out for yourself.

I generally "pick up" but do not say a word. If a human is calling they usually say something. Computer generated calls need a response before they start their spiel. If they do not detect a response they terminate the call.

Do you mean that you never get calls informing you that your cars warrantee is expired, that your social benefits need help or that you can get greater medicare benefits. Sounds like you're missing out.

Could have counted the degrees this morning on one hand with 4 fingers left over. Got up to 20 this afternoon, down to 13 right now.

ya damn that! Us thin blooded southerners would bust all our teeth out chattering!

For some reason, lots of folks in Wyoming have false teeth.

Forgot to say that I spent a lot of time behind the wheel of my pickup.HAHAHA

We usually calve in the spring, usually late Feb and March.
