Hi All,

I'm looking for some loads with ADI powder for my 240wby mag in a synthetic markV. Would anyone know what rifle twist these rifles come in?
The ADI site gives load data for a 1:9 twist.

Can someone please tell me the minimum and maximum COL for a 240 wby mag? I think i need to try some different bullet seating depths.

Hi All, I'm going to start handloading my 270win (weatherby vanguard synthetic). Does anyone have any tips on good loads. Here in my area (western Sydney Australia) I only have access to ADI powder, after looking at bullet weights it seems i have the option of loading any thing from 90g to 180g projectiles and can get the 90g flying at 3600fps. I've been loading similar weights in my 240mag for some time with similar velocities. Also any tips on seating depths would be appreciated. I'm getting the 270 die set for xmas. Also is it cheaper to buy factory loads at $30 per box of 20 or to go straight to buying new brass?

Hope you all have a good xmas and new year and good luck with the new gun laws if any. Our gun laws are quite strict but we still have illeagal guns and unlicensed crims giving us a hard time here as well. Gun laws wont change people with mental health issues.

Hi all,

I would like to know all your thoughts on Bi pods. Do you use them often for hunting? I'm looking at buying one so if anyone can recomend one that is not top of the line but still something good and reliable, it would be appreciated? Just looking on eBay there are so many to choose from in regards to height adjustments, price etc. I've never used one and would like some recomendations on what to look for etc?

Hi All,

My Wife wants to take up shooting, she's not ready for hunting just yet but I would like to know your thoughts on what caliber to get her? She's never fired anything bigger then a 22LR before. I already have a 240mag and a 270win and ofcourse a 22LR, I could always let her use that of course but this seems like a great opertunity to buy another gun.

The Bushnell yardage pro rangefinder riflescope? Is it good, rating from 1 - 10? Also if any other companies make something similar?

Has anyone ever thought of creating a new wildcat? I've always wanted to create a new caliber in a .234, by maybe necking down a .243win or necking up a .22-250. I think i'm on a winner but have no idea how to go about it??

Hi All,

I'm finding hollow points are doing just too much damage to the meat of my 100lb game, from my 240wby mag. I have been using 60gr hollow points with a MV of 3520fps.

Would anyone have any other suggestions of bullet types that will kill effectivly but also not do so much damage to the meat?
