Around the Campfire (General Discussion) / Problems with new 6.5-300
« on: January 20, 2018, 02:27:30 PM »
Wonder if anyone can help, I have a friend in Tennessee who purchased a new Weatherby Mark V in the 6.5-300 Cal.  After shooting 20 rounds of factory ammo, the bolt locked up and could not be opened.  He returned the rifle back to Weatherby supposedly under warranty.  Weatherby replied that it was his fault for shooting reloads.  I can attest that this fellow, first of all would not lie, I have been shooting with him for years, and secondly, he does not reload for that caliber, doesn't even own the dies to do so. If anyone has any advise, we would appreciate it.

Thank you!

Anybody got a .270 Win. with a wood stock they want to part with?  Lookin' for one for a friend, Wtby Vanguard Sporter, Remington 700, Ruger M77. Nothing fancy, just a decent hunting rifle.

Thanks in advance!
