I'm a Partition fan.  I hope the rifle likes them both but I would let the accuracy decide.  :)
+1 on what Bad said, you might also want to consider Barnes 130 ttsx since more states are trying to ban lead ammo.

My Uncle Gordy was a backup navigator for both Atomic bomb flights. Wish he would of talked more about his service.

All you need to mount a scope is the correct bases and rings and the right size Allen or Torquex wrench to tighten the screws. Also some blue Locktite for the base screws only. I have been doing this for 55 years nothing complicated about it.

+1, Maybe a Wheeler Scope Torque Wrench at the most so you don't over tighten them.

I have 2 of them and both are shooters. In fact I bought both at my local Cabelas, I mounted the scope myself.
You did the right thing mounting the scope yourself!!
What scope you would recommend for hunting?
Sorry I'm on vacation and didn't see your reply, I have a 3-9x40 Zeiss on my Accuguard 257 Bee. Most of my shots are under 100 yds here and Minnesota, I have a 4.5-14 Leupold on my 340 Arroyo I will be using in Colorado. All my scopes are Zeiss or Leupold.
You might want try talking to someone at Talley Monday, they have great customer service. I ordered the wrong height one time and called and they just sent me the right height at no charge!!! If you posted a picture of the problem, maybe someone on the Nation could help too?

41 views and not one reply?

Either you guys want to know this also, or your just not saying!

Which is it?

You have to remember a majority of viewers are not regular Nation members and just pop in for quick look at the posts and never comment. If your considering a 340, I bought a new Arroyo a little over a year ago and find it very manageable to shoot without a brake. Mine has a preference for the 225 ttsx and i just put a CDS dial for that load on my Leupold scope. I plan on taking it to Colorado for an October elk hunt.
