Yes on the rifling.Just slots in the tip of the barrel. Not a very good brake system.More of a muzzle jump stopper.Never been a fan of it.

"The game farms should be liable when there herds spread it to wild game, in my opinion"

How do we know a wild deer didn't come up to the fence,to meet a buck there, and infect the herd in captivity?

It's not about what the strength of the Mark V action does on a daily basis. It's what it does under extremely rare occurrences of over burden. That's what matters.

And they wonder why they see coyotes in town!

When you are playing around with it off the bench try forearm rest in different parts of the forearm. My 223 had a sweet spot that it liked.I could get my best accuracy by pulling the front sandbag back to where it was just in front of the scope.Maybe just a tad bit back from where you would normally put your hand.

Eric, I mean the SN is in your name in the database of the state or federally.

Example of register would be I went to Acadamy and bought a pistol there and waited to be okayed by the government to take possession of it.They okay it.Then I started carrying it.That pistol would be registered in my name.

Example of not registered would be I met Eric in the parking lot at Walmart and gave him cash for a pistol. Then I started carrying it.No way to verify that it is my pistol.Eric may have purchased it the same way 5 years ago.If someone ran the make, model, and SN it could come up as being registered to Jack Frost in Idaho or it might never have been registered because when it was 1st purchased as a new gun there was no such thing.

Kind of a head scratcher

I've always wondered if it is legal to carry concealed a pistol that isn't registered to you?I don't think I own a pistol that is registered in my name.Actually I know I don't own a pistol that is registered in my name.

I rely on my copy to inform myself and answer other's questions, but there are lots and lots of things that are misstated or not even talked about in the book.I'm on the fence about it.If you buy it for info on Roy Weatherby himself, and Weatherby Inc. it's great. If you buy it to rely on the numbers given you will be misinformed in multiple accounts.

I've seen it bankrupt a high fence operation over night. The state comes in and pretty much makes you kill your deer. If you are a real big operation and have separate herds and blood lines in other places the testing that they make you do to stay in business will break you.
