What!!! You mean to say that all the gun nuts over there don't have an AR? We are lead to believe that every 2nd US citizen is toting at least one AR in their arsenal and that the country is awash with them.... :o  ;D
;D  Your press is as bad as ours?

I see Bank of America has decided to take sides in the "Assault Rifle" debate.  They aren't going to loan money to companies that build them.  Idiots!

Coyotes are less nocturnal than you might think.  I've seen a dozen or more out during the middle of the day, more than an hour and a half away from sunrise/sunset.  Took a nice blonde yote several years ago just about 1030a.  Just cutting through the woods, nose to the ground, unaware he was about to meet a 220gr flat-point from a 350RemMag.  Knocked him in the dirt.

Looks like there are two yotes in the game cam pic, one blurry one in the middle, and one just entering the right hand side.  I suspect they're out looking for a snack.
I'm kind of surprised to see your bucks haven't shed their antlers by mid-March, too.  Ours are all pretty well dropped by now around here.  Regrowth won't be long starting now, either.

I was going by his saying you hardly ever see them in daylight.   ;D

Seeing what is typically a night time critter in the day makes me worry about rabies.  I shot a rabid raccoon in the middle of the day with the deputy's gun when she knew she was a lousy shot.  We never told I made the shot with her Berretta 9mm.  :D

Very cool gun, does it come with a gift certificate for shoulder surgery.........lol
I can only imagine how that bad boy would kick with a 20" barrel in 300 Weatherby Mag, that explains the forward scope  ;)
Especially with heavy for caliber bullets!   :)

Savage has been making a scout rifle for years. I gave mine to my son  probably 10 years ago.   Ruger makes one, too . A couple of scope manufacturers  make specific long eye relief scopes for this application.   :)

Pretty sure this is a log roller.

Probably is a log roller but another option would be a ice block carrier. I remember my X wife's grandfather telling me that he used to cut blocks of ice from Rondeau Bay back in the 40's and carry them back to shore with a apparatus that looked much like this.
+1  Been a ton of years since I saw one, think you nailed it!

Ever see a reel with stainless steel line?
It's piano wire, like "Quint" used in "Jaws".

The leftys want to ban firearms, why the hell don't they ban cell phones in vehicles it's a more viable argument now. There has been more deaths caused by distracted driving than law abiding firearms owners.
It's not just gun control, it's plain control!

Didn't they use a maul like that for putting the plug in a  whiskey barrel?

I used a brick tong when l was a kid working for a mason in the summers. It wasn't that long ago  ::)
  Yes on the maul!
