Agreed on the lack of coverage of all the help that appears after disasters!  Glad your friend is safe!  Our local power company was bringing us meals while the power was still off after the hurricanes. :)

I remember a deer killed on my dad's farm on the eastern shore of MD. by a rifle shot that had a really bad infection from a arrow wound. It became crab pot bait.  If you even question the chance of it being bad, throw it out!!!!!   Finding it showed class, choosing not to eat it showed good sense.  ;D

Ms. Snipes was appointed by Jeb Bush in 2003. I thought Jeb was a good governor till the very second I read that!  His brother, the president, handed me ice and drinking water at my local fire department after the hurricane in 2004. That is something I won't forget!

Frost here once in the 16 years I've been here! My 98 year old neighbor says it snowed here ONCE in her life, in 1976. Damn, I miss winter! Tired of mowing the grass year round! :)

Same as 2016! She destroyed ballots before a recount could take place.  I read she was there for 15 years, too long in any case. My bet is IF the new governor is DeSantis, she will be removed by him, otherwise, she is safe. BTW. county elections are not held on election day.  Out of 67 Florida counties, only these 2 have problems.  :) When my democratic U S congressman and state senator run unopposed it explains where I live.

A folded hand towel under the elbow helps eliminate MB elbow.
+1  As rough as the bench is where I shoot, you get splinters without a heavy folded towel.   :)

Palm Beach county is 70+% democratic, Broward county is real close to that number.  The supervisor of elections is supposed to be a non political job, meaning no parties. Susan Butcher , supervisor of elections here, was formerly a democratic  state rep.   Oops!

Duh. When you don't fire the person that's screwed up several times and been in court over it before and even in 2016.You get the same results.Duh Again!!!
The stupidvisor of elections is a elected position, not appointed. As long as the vote turns out in favor of the dominating party, they are pretty safe.   :)
