The first thing hunters notice about the Vanguard First Lite big game rifle, aside from Weatherby’s legendary fit and finish, is the gun’s stock. The Monte Carlo design, complete with a right-side palm swell and textured forearm and grip areas, is appointed with innovative First Lite Fusion camo. The pattern is not a typical pixel- or tree-style variation. Instead, it’s a proprietary mix of “crackalature” shapes and colors derived through nature-based algorithms and oriented for macro and micro disruption. Simply put, the camo pattern removes an object’s outline at distances from 2-2,000 yards.

Hunters can select their Vanguard First Lite in four flat-shooting, hard-hitting Weatherby Magnum calibers (240 Wby Mag, 257 Wby Mag, 6.5-300 Wby Mag, and 300 Wby Mag) and four traditional rounds (270 Win, 308 Win, 30-06 Sprg and 300 Win). All calibers feature cold hammer-forged fluted barrels with #2 contours, finished in Flat Dark Earth Cerakote® for stealth and protection from the elements. The barrel length is 26" (28" OAL with standard Accubrake) for magnum chamberings and 24" (26" OAL with standard Accubrake) for non-magnum calibers and 240 Wby Mag.

Additional standard features on the Vanguard First Lite include a fluted, one-piece machined bolt body and fully-enclosed bolt sleeve, an integral recoil lug, hinged floorplate, 3-position safety and an adjustable match-grade, two-stage trigger that pulls crisp and breaks clean for accurate shooting. In fact, the Vanguard First Lite is so accurate that it carries a SUB-MOA accuracy guarantee (.99” or less 3-shot group at 100 yards when used with Weatherby factory or premium ammunition).

Thanks for bringing it to our attention! We are working on the issue and will get it resolved as quickly as possible.

Since the 1940's, Weatherby has revolutionized ballistics with the fastest, hardest hitting, most accurate cartridges ever made, along with the premiere rifles capable of handling their devastating power.

To succeed in the wild, you must take inspiration from it. Beautiful and everlasting, and larger than life. Humble but powerful, waiting in the darkness until the time comes to ignite. To thrive in these elements you ought to be shaped by them. Refined by a million trials until finally there is no error. Only then, when all the questions have been asked, can you be enshrined among the timeless.

Scotty Lago dreamed of being a professional snowboarder from an early age and his passion for the sport lead him to the podium in the Vancouver Winter Olympic games. The focus he developed competing on the mountain now drives him in the field as a hunter.

Thank you for contacting us. I am sorry to hear you experienced an issue with your brand new Camilla, we understand this can be quite frustrating. Bringing this to our attention allows us to review our installation and QC processes.  Thank you for contacting Tasco Sales, our Authorized Service Center in Australia, and we hope you enjoyed a successful hunt.

Episode 4: Wyoming

Nothing connects people more completely than big game hunting – from stalking in dawn’s golden light to grilling fresh backstraps after sundown. The Weatherby family embraces this legacy as dearly as anyone who has ever shouldered a Mark V or Vanguard.

Episode 3: Colorado

Friendly competition in the Weatherby family means shooting the most clays, catching the biggest fish or folding a flushing ringneck before other guns even get to the shoulder. Because pride comes from being the best you can be.

Episode 2: Utah

Whether hunting the mountains by foot – or climbing them on wheels for fun – if you fall down, you get right back up again. Mental and physical toughness is paramount to that perseverance, and it’s what drives the Weatherby family to seize every moment in Moab.

Episode 1: Arizona

Seeing the Grand Canyon from up top is one thing. Experiencing the relentless power of the Colorado River down below is something quite different, as the Weatherby family discovered on the first leg of their epic Western road trip.

The Mark V Accumark in 30-06 has a #3 contour barrel which is free floated. Our #3 contour wood stocks do not have pressure points and maintain the free floating of the barrel. Any Mark V standard action wood stock will work as long as it is a #3 contour. #2 contour stocks can also be converted by opening up the barrel channel to accommodate the larger barrel. Once you have your stock the only bedding required is the recoil lug. Give our Custom Shop a call @ 800.227.2016 and we can discuss the stock options we have available for you.

If the family that hunts together stays together, Weatherby proves it. Since Roy founded the brand in the mid-40s, “family” has been its cornerstone. The legacy continues today as Adam Weatherby, his wife and their two kids hit the road for a Western adventure. You’re invited.

The road trip begins July 17th on WBY-TV.com

Hunting and being outdoors with someone, it forges a relationship that can’t be accomplished anywhere else. You can learn a lot about somebody in a short amount of time that might take a lifetime elsewhere.

As Weatherby continues to expand their outreach to firearm enthusiasts nationwide, the leading manufacturer of rifles, shotguns and ammunition has hired Taylor Whitney to ensure broad, meaningful engagement with customers. Beginning January 23, 2017 Ms. Whitney became Weatherby’s new Brand Coordinator.

In her role, Whitney will work closely with Weatherby Director of Marketing Taylor Nahrgang. According to Whitney, “I’m looking forward to elevating our brand’s social media and digital expressions to reflect the refinement of Weatherby firearms.”

In addition to social media curation and management, Whitney will coordinate B-to-B and to-consumer email marketing programs, manage production of printed and digital communications (from manuals to marketing collateral), and participate in other marketing initiatives including catalog creation, website updates, video production and more.

Mr. Nahrgang explains, “Weatherby’s digital and online image is critical to the growth we intend to achieve over the coming years, and Taylor’s social media expertise is essential to ensuring our digital share-of-voice.”

Taylor Whitney, originally from Washington state, moved to San Luis Obispo to attend Cal Poly where she graduated with a degree in Communication Studies. Prior to joining Weatherby, she was the Outreach Strategist at iFixit in San Luis Obispo. When not building the Weatherby brand, Taylor enjoys all things in the great outdoors and, naturally, is passionate about the shooting sports.
