I ordered two boxes to see how they shoot. I have only shot the Hornady ammo from mine which shoots very well. I will be interested how well these shoot.

Even after shipping. Their shipping is a little high. They are usually quick and everything I have ordered from them has came fairly well packed.

I donít really count the rounds before I shoot, when I start getting larger groups than previous outing I know thats when it needs it. My .308 has only been cleaned 3 or 4 times and I have had it a few years and shot many rounds through it.
If I was thinking really hard about round counts and cleaning my Weatherby I would say 25 or so maybe? Like other say keep barrel cool. I set a timer on my phone.

I sent a pm to you

He has 3 little ones and for the most part he grows produce for his community to sell.
He ainít making a killing. His wife makes us goodies now and then. I like hunting with him and spending time over there when I can, I swear a whole lot less!
I donít know what they do to their kids but 99% of amish kids are very well behaved. They also will seem a little scared of you at first when they are around you.

Around the Campfire (General Discussion) / My .257 and neighbor

I went to my amish neighbors house earlier today. I have not been over there but a few times but we keep missing one another.
He told me that he forgot to tell me he shot two more deer during deer season and he shot another coyote. That will make his tally 4 deer and 3 coyotes.
He said both deer and the last coyote just dropped where they were standing. Of the four deer three were bang flops. One deer wasnít hit too well with the first shot. All three coyotes were bang flops. Asked him if he needed more ammo? He said ďno, I still have eight more shells.Ē
He is a good guy and it really helps him out lending him my gun. Besides he lets me sneak over there from time to time.

Galamb has a lot of knowledge on crossbows as well, much more than me. I am still pretty green.

I have been using a 100 grain Slick Trick Stainless Steel Standard model. I shoot at my target with my broadheads. I learned that shooting multiple arrows in targets equals ruined arrows.
I usually practice between 20-40 yards. At 50 yards I can shoot within 4Ē circle with what I am using now. My Grim Reaper practice head shoots better all the way out to 60 yards. I have heard of people having issues with Grim Reapers opening early. Some say use a band on them and then you lose the advantages of using Grim Reapers.
I usually use 4 blade heads or Reapers with my compound bows over the years. Broadheads with four blades but a good size bullet hole like hole in deer and mechanical heads like the Grim Reaper Whitetail Specials are 2Ē cutting diameter and I can tell you that they both lay down a good amount of blood.
So to answer your question, I usually always practice my setups like I was hunting with them. I donít sharpen those heads or resharpen them. I need to set my blind up and see how it shoots through the mesh windows.
