if your looking to maybe building something custom BMR, these guys here do pretty good work, they are in LLoydminster, and I've seen quite of bit of their stuff. They have a 3/8" guarantee on their rifles.

I agree with the other posts, other than the big bears, not really that different. I have used them both, liked them, worked well, but if I had to choose, I would take the 300 Win.  I said this many times, if I need more than a 300 Mag, then I go right to the 375's. I have owned quite a few 338's, 340's, 338-378's, but never kept any of them around, nothing wrong with any of them, just didn't have a lot of use for them.

actually now is a pretty good time to find a good used Mark V.  Hunting seasons are mostly over, and xmas coming, always someone needing a little extra cash. Take a look at gunpost, gunnutz, and other online places here in Canada, I have been seeing quite 270 Wbys up for sale lately.
