First let me say no one needs to speak or appologize for me and my thoughts, I don't need it and sure as heck don't want it.  Maybe my point was misunderstood somehow so let me say a few things so there's no mistakes:

1) I feel bad for you about your rifle
2) I was supporting your complaint as others were
3) It should've never left the factory like that
4) For the price you paid quality control should've went over it with a fine tooth comb at least once and it should've been absolutely perfect in every way
5) I'm happy I didn't buy one because of the chance of getting a rifle with the same issue
6) I do not buy any guns without seeing them first
7) When you spend several thousand dollars on a rifle regardless of who's name is on the side of it it should be absolutely perfect in every way
8) I feel quality control dropped the ball on this rifle
9) Would I buy another Weatherby rifle, it's a definite possibility
10) It seems as if you were happy with everyone supporting you and your complaint until now.

None of this is to be construed in any way, shape, or form as an attack on you, your issue, or Weatherby.  Hopefully this makes my comments crystal clear and there's no misunderstanding to what I've said.

I don't see pointing out shortfalls and dropping the ball in quality control is bashing, they're two totally different things in my opinion.  Maybe I'm far less sensitive than many people are these days but if you're in business you have to expect the good and bad.  How you deal with it is what makes the difference between great businessmen and the mediocre businessmen.  You need to appease all the customers and charm the potential customers which is a delicate balancing act and isn't accomplished by censoring either of them because at the end of the day they provide the money to keep you in business by buying your stuff.  Get them mad and it costs you money in the form of lost sales but if you learn from the criticism, accept the fact criticism is part of being in business, learn not to take each and everything personally, make things right, and respect them you're business will flourish and gain new customers.

That's interesting because here's Adam's response in the topic It has finally arrived... and he said, "In fact, 100% of my gunsmithing team moved from CA and so they have a ton of Weatherby experience.  For reference purposes I copied and pasted his response and emboldened this sentence so you can see it quickly below. This was located on page 6 if anyone would like to double check it for accuracy.

OK guys. Let's calm down a bit.  This is way out of hand.  One guy has one rifle with one magazine issue and now the whole Weatherby company has gone down the drain and everything coming out of Wyoming is a piece of junk?

First off, we will ALWAYS do our best to make things right.  BB340, I appreciate your comments about our distributor down there.  They are good "mates" and I have confidence they will take care of you.  You have my assurance we will make things right.  So sorry you aren't pleased with the end product.  I certainly want you to be satisfied.  You have always been a loyal customer and we will do our best to keep it that way.

As far as the magazine, this has been outsourced for years, back when dad was running the company in CA.  It isn't "new" and doesn't have to do with Wyoming or the current team here.  In fact, 100% of my gunsmithing team moved from CA and so they have a ton of Weatherby experience.  They are putting out some AMAZING guns. So, this has absolutely nothing to do with our move or current leadership.  That magazine was originally designed for the Tacmark which many of you may recall.  We will take this feedback into consideration, as we do all customer feedback.  Additionally, we will make sure the owner is satisfied.

Now, let's all take a chill pill and get back to a more positive Weatherby Nation that we all enjoy.

Adam Weatherby

Some may look at these topics as an opportunity to bash while others see them as people venting and bringing attention to having issues with guns they spend their hard earned money on.  I don't know about anyone else but I know when I spend my money I want whatever I buy to be right and have the quality I expect it to have.  I also understand that Weatherby moved and there are some bugs to be worked out and things happen from time to time when you outsource parts but that's where the quality control inspectors come in.  Knowing that they should be checking and double checking everything before it leaves and even more so for the outsourced parts because that company's quality standards can be far different than your company's.  As for only ten gunsmiths moving with the company Adam said all the gunsmiths moved with them and I believe him and have no reason not to.  Hopefully the issues people have been talking about recently and any others that we haven't heard of get resolved sooner than later because each damage the company's reputation and you can rest assured the real Weatherby haters and bashers will spread these topics like wildfire.  As for the owners being mad and venting I can totally understand that and don't blame them a bit, I know I'd be really mad if I spend $1,000 or more on a rifle that wasn't right from the factory.  I'd be livid if I spent a couple thousand dollars and got a rifle with a mag that rattles like a bunch of cans tied to the back of a wedding car going down a bumpy road.

Danno I respectfully totally and completely disagree with your thought the problem is the guy can't shoot off sandbags, I don't think that's being fair to the guy.  First off sandbags are far more stable than a bipod because they have more of a contact point and secondly the pressure on the stock covers a larger area rather than being centralized at the contact point of the bipod, which normally attach via a sling stud.  Also he could be just using the sandbags under the fore-end and shooting like he does with the bipod.  We don't know if that's the case or not because he hasn't told us if he's using sandbags in just the front or both the front and back.

That is ABSOLUTELY PRICELESS!

There are several good barrel makers who if you call them they could make you a replacement barrel.  I'd give them a call and talk to them and see what they have to say.  That would be your best bet in my opinion and what I would do if I were you.  Please let us know how you make out.

Here's a few of them:

They're exactly the same except for the stocks.

Brett I'm glad you're happy with Weatherby's response and promise to make it right.  You obviously either have a lot more money than some of us or are far more forgiving either way I commend you on your patients and understanding.  I however work hard for my money and for me to shell out that kind of money for a rifle that's sub-par quality would have me livid.  I do give Adam credit for trying to down play the issue however the fact remains it's not to the Weatherby standard we all know and come to expect so regardless of if it's, "One guy has one rifle with one magazine issue" or numerous guys with numerous guns someone dropped the ball big time.  If I was the guy who bought it you can be sure my thought would be it's one too many regardless of how many rifles came out that way.  It shouldn't have happened and quality control should've caught it.  Who knows maybe that inspector was gone to lunch when it came through or was taking a nap.  Whatever the cause was it happened and obviously they're going to make it right but it's definitely a black eye for the company.  Things like this is exactly why I never ever buy a gun without seeing it if if it's factory new.

For the price you paid for it Weatherby should be the ones footing the bill to make it right.  Like you said for the price of it that's totally unacceptable.  Yeah it's nice being the only guy to have something but if that something is way over priced for the sub-par-quality what's the use?

Sadly you're right about that and it won't change even when the majority of Democrats are voted out of office.

You're right there, just imagine the level of stupidity and insanity AOC and her buddies would be doing if they didn't have the short leash Pelosi is trying to put on them.  Don't get me wrong I'm no fan of Pelosi, we all know she's crazy but AOC has lots of brainwashed young people who follow her every word and thought.  If she manages to hang on long enough to get some actual power we're all in for a really bad time.

There are lots of magazines that fit perfectly and don't rattle like that, just look at the Remington 740, 760, 7400, 7600, Winchester 88, Sako Finwolf, and even Savage 99's which had a detachable magazine to name just a few.  Someone screwed up royally when they decided to allow that garbage to be attached to a Weatherby rifle.  The big question here how big of a black eye is Weatherby going to have over this?  I'm sure the Weatherby haters are absolutely loving this and spreading the word about it as fast as they can to anyone and everyone who will even remotely listen to them.

This should be a wake up call to every American as to how insane she and the Democrats are.  The really scary part is the kids in schools today are being brainwashed with this crazy crap, just look at how many of them think Communism is a good idea, and will one day run, or should I say destroy, this country.  God how I pray for my kids and the future of our country.
