Seeing as how you own at least one Weatherby, the only reasons are, you missed, forgot to load it, the animals did not read the script, or someone is holding a gun to your head.

It is going to be hers. She bought me the 70th anniversary Weatherby Vanguard in 300 Wby. and I was saving for a hopeful 75th anniversary Weatherby, but as mentioned the new one they have now will probably be it. Can't afford that one so I decided she deserves an anniversary model from a company we have used for many years with outstanding reliability and service. This also fits her almost as good as her 6.5 Camilla. Not the same as, but very nice none the less. She really loves the 6.5 Creedmoor caliber as it does everything she wants it to within her maximum range of 250 yards.

I ordered one today in 6.5 Creedmoor. It will make a nice younger sibling to the Savage American Classic I bought in 2010 in 250-3000. Now the waiting begins.

Have you shot any other ammo out of the rifle that had the flattened primer? I had a 300 win. mag that showed flattened primers with the Hornady 180 grain SST Superformance. Hornady replaced them with the standard 180 spire point, I don't know what they were called back then (2009) and had no more problems with them, or any of my reloads using other bullets including the Hornady 180 grain SST.
