what can you expect fro a 240 magnum with a 28 inch barrel on it.a friend wants to build a long range groundhog rifle he has about 200 240 cases that are ew ad thought it would be a great choice.it will weigh about 11 lbs when done and have a 1 in 8 tweist barrel

i am looking to buy a 240 .i own a 300 winchester now and a 6.5 remington magnum in a modle 660 .the 300 is great but for pa white tails a little to much.i also own 2 benchrest rifles a 22 br and a 6mmppc to answer your questions on owership..

thoughts on this cartrige for deer hunting at long range out to 1000 yards.i was looking for a cartrige that will work and fit ina 06 bolt face rather then a magnum.

thank you for your imput on this.they now have a 338 rpmout i see that seams from what i see is a twin to the 338 winchester magnum only on that 6.5 case.i like that they use the 06 .47333 bolt face  myself. for there our mor of that action types put there and little modafacation may be needed if a person went that route on builing a rifle . my thoughts only.

i have a place to hunt that is on a p[ower line.just got acces to it.that max shot will be at 600 yard as far as i can see on it. was looking at the 240 for the gun to hunt there.i like the caliber because it is 6mm and i was thinking it would reach out that far

am looking at the berger 105 grain bullets.it is said that they are good to 1800 fps to expand on game .my j b ballistic chart shows that at 700 yards.nowe that is a far pice i know but if gun and you can make the shot what are your thoughts on this.

yes i think i asked this.sorry but i had to get a new computer and loast some of my stuff.the price is 1000 $ and it was bought new in 1995 in canada .have to look at the rules and laws for buyimg in new york where it is at a private onwer now.
