Hey guys, just received a few pictures from my Step-Dads bear hunt up in AK. He used his 338-378 Weatherby about 175 yds. Pics are from cell phone, I'll try and get better ones later. 10'1" 1075 lbs.  Figured you might be interested seeing it was harvested with a Weatherby.

OMG!  That is some Bear - congratulations to him.  Did it go down with one shot?

Hope he has a large fire place for that rug to go down in front of……….. ;D

I agree, thats a Great looking bear, taken with a great Weatherby caliber. Other than a full body mount,( which is expensive) whats a good practical way to showcase a great looking bear like that?

I'll be sure to pass on the kind comments, guys! I think he put two shots in it, I'll have to ask for sure when I talk to him again.
Would definitely be awesome to do that someday. I'll keep dreaming for now!

Great Bear! Where did he hunt? Alaskan Peninsula? Kodiak? Admiralty Island? Baranoff Island? Where? And, who was his guide?
