New scope problem

I would like to ask for a little help with a problem on my new .257 MK V Accumark. I got a Swarovski 2-12X50mm scope for and I am trying to use Leupold bases and rings. My dealer told me the STD. MK V Lightweight bases with high 30mm rings. Using a boresighter I cant get the scope to adjust down enough for a boresight. Also I can see the end of my barrel on 2x magnification. I hope its a simple fix. Thanks for any help.

Your dealer is incorrect.  The lightweight bases will not fit the Accumark, to my knowledge.  My advice, having had trouble similar to what you describe using Leupold standard bases, is to get a pair of Burris bases and install your 30mm rings on them.  You won't be sorry.
