I'll put another vote in for the Leica, they are by far the best I've used for reading various targets that may not be all that reflective. I've been on a few hunts where the guides, or another hunters rangefinder wouldn't pick something up and the guys with the Leicas could, they really seemed to excel when the light was low compared to the others and was enough proof for me to save up some money and grab one. I went with the CRF 1600 with the built in Ballistics, Cabelas had a heck of a sale on them at the time.
