I've got a Leica 1200 that I use with a Leupold CDS dial scope. It works well out to 1500.If you were to buy a Leica 900 I'm sure it would probably range to 1000 easy.

I always get a rangefinder that ranges way beyond what I plan on shooting. Say you range and elk at 800yds, and you range a tree at 500, you know it you get to the tree you will be 300yds from the elk. It will give you a good idea of where you need to get, to be in your comfortable shooting range

224king what gun and caliber do you shoot to 1500 yards?

Haven't shot out to 1500 with it,just know it's still ranging right out that far. When I do shoot way out it's with a 6.5x284 in a HS Precision pro 2000

Nice rifle, I have never seen one but have read the reviews on them.

I'll put another vote in for the Leica, they are by far the best I've used for reading various targets that may not be all that reflective. I've been on a few hunts where the guides, or another hunters rangefinder wouldn't pick something up and the guys with the Leicas could, they really seemed to excel when the light was low compared to the others and was enough proof for me to save up some money and grab one. I went with the CRF 1600 with the built in Ballistics, Cabelas had a heck of a sale on them at the time.
