My "Hunting" Season this Year

My "Hunting" Season this Year

Thanks to an all-expenses-paid "vacation" I'm missing hunting season this year, so I have to live vicariously through others.

My buddy down in MS shot a very nice doe opening morning (picture below). He placed a 130 Nosler Partition from his 270 WIN onto the doe as she ran at about 200 yards. I handloaded those bullets for him and that's the first animal he's taken with them. He was quite pleased with their performance.

Here's hoping my wife will get her first deer this year. My Dad agreed to take her out for me since I couldn't. She'll be hunting with her brand new Camilla in 243 WIN. She's super excited and hoping to get a shot at "The" big buck on my grandpa's place. None of the rest of us are allowed to shoot him.
"The sheep generally do not like the sheepdog. He looks a lot like the wolf. He has fangs and the capacity for violence."

It is always rewarding to reload and have good accurate rounds.Good luck to your wife.Sure Camilla will work well for her.
Faster horses,younger women,older whiskey,and more money.
