Dear Weatherby Nation,

My late great uncle was an amateur gunsmith in Texas & family folklore is that we was good friends with professional gunsmiths that worked for Weatherby.   The family folklore is that this rifle was given to him as a gift by a Weatherby gunsmith in the 1960's or 70's.
There are only a few markings on the rifle.
"GEO HERIN" & some other marks.  I presume this stands for "George Herin" maybe?
See pictures below.
Any information you could provide will be greatly appreciated.
Do you have any suggestions of who I could contact for even more detailed information about this rifle?
Thank you.
Kelly

Welcome to the Nation. That might be one to spend $50 on, and have Weatherby do a search for you. The form is on there website.

Have you found out anything regarding this rifle?
If you are arguing with an idiot and someone passes by, they don't know who's the idiot.
