What has everyone decided to use in their 6.5-300?

I am getting under 1/2" with 127 LRX
Barnes. I will be trying some 130 and 140 Berger VLD hopefully next week.

Hard to argue with that size of group. I have no clue what powder and bullet or bullet weight I want to use.

Don't know why you would try the other bullet weights if getting that from the 127 LRX.

I decided to go with the Nosler 140g accubond, if that does not perform up to my expectations I will use 140g partitions which I know will work.

I looked at both the partitions and accubonds. I was hoping by now a few people would give more reports of their accuracy and load data. I really figured that there would be gobs of it by now.

I ordered the Berger VLD bullets loaded for me before I received my rifle. The Barnes 127 LRX I picked up with my rifle. I have used the Berger bullets in my other rifles and they have been the most accurate.
I'll see how they do and let you know.

The Barnes, are they factory rounds and not reloaded? I ask because I got two boxes of them when I got my rifle.

They are the Barnes factory loads black box select plus from Weatherby. The Berger's VLD are loaded by Hendershot. They charge $95 per box. I believe they have 7 different bullets you can choose from. $90-$110 a box.

Chris, 91g US869, Fed 215 primer, 3400fps. I started at 88g, kind of disappointed as it is only 75fps faster than my 270 Wby,
