So I think stainless rifles with grey/black laminates are amazing to look at. Does anyone know if I can find a Weatherby monte carlo style for the 6 lug action?

I have dealt with Stocky's stocks several times and recommend them highly. Take a look and see if they have one you like.

I have bought stocks from this site and they are great
http://www.rifle-stocks.com
. However they are not a drop in product for the Mark V. If you or someone you know can do the final fitting the price and quality are top notch. Here is a photo of my wife's Howa in 308 win.

I has a Boyds fitted to my stainless MKV .270 Wby mag. Had the action glass bedded and the barrel free floated. Plus the stock chequered. I can't tell you how it shoots yet as I still haven't taken it to the range.... Ahh so many rifles building up that I need to take to the range lol.

I have used Boyd's laminated stocks on other rifles and have been very pleased.
Like an earlier post stated, Richard's Microfit stocks are another option, but they will require some additional work.

I have three Boyds laminate stocks and each of them is practically perfect when it comes to fit, feel, and finish. They have something around 45 layers of wood to them so their strength is outstanding.

Oldchet,
I love the darker stained laminate stock of your wife's rifle. Was this unfinished and you stained it?

After final wood work I applied true oil in several layers, (at least 7) letting it set between coats and using 0000 steel wool to smooth finish. After final coat and 24 hours dry time I used 0000 steel wool for slight satin look. Total time for finished product 2 weeks. I was in no hurry as I am retired.

Thank you para45. My wife's rifle
had a plastic stock on it and I did this for her about 15 years ago.

Thanks Oscar. Mine had a pretty beat up black synthetic on it and so I wanted something a bit different.
