My Pig Mount is Done

The taxidermist called this afternoon to tell me my pig mount was done. He beat his original timeline by about a month. I Probably won't be able to make it down for a few weeks to pick it up but he sent me this picture.

Thanks fellas. From what I can tell form the picture, I am pleased with the job he did for sure. And no, it did not take him very long at all. I used the local shop in Mason, TX for this, called A Vision Taxidermy. Hopefully I can take him a deer this fall. :D

In my case, it would catch the eye of my wife and I would be sleeping with my mount in the garage.

Well fellas, funny y'all should say all that.... this pig will either be going in my office at work or in the garage. I'll count my blessings that when I started mentioning I was going to have a wild hog shoulder mounted she replied.... "eh, ummm, I mean, if that makes you happy!" She then immediately started dropping hints that if it could live somewhere besides inside the actual house that would just be wonderful.

I'm not gonna push my luck, the garage or office it is. When I showed her the picture the other day however, I did get a "oh, that's not nearly as ugly as I thought it would be" kinda response. Small victories!!
