Glad to hear you came out pretty much untouched, sounds like many weren't as lucky.

My friend across the street is still without power with 2 young kids!  Just gave him15lbs of ice. He would do the same for me. That is the single coolest thing about these things. The way people come together when the poop hits the fan is always impressive.  I've seen it through 7 hurricanes here in spite of language barriers. Irma was just barely a hurricane for us.  ;D

Hey Bad, glad you are doing ok bro.   All my family is doing well, and my parents finally got power & water late Mon night.  As of yesterday, they still couldn't drink the water, but luckily having many hurricane experiences, they had plenty of water to drink.  Now they flush the toilette without any issues.  ;D ;D ;D

Looks like NC is just barely inside the 5 day cone of Jose and 2 other potential problem are forming up off Africa. We are a long ways off to the end of hurricane season, IF the weather listens to "seasons"   We still have our storm shutters up, a lesson we learned in 2004 and 2005!  ;D

Maria's cone of death seems to have FL in its path.  Let's hope not. Like you said, three hurricanes, and you guys have 1 1/2 month to go on the season.  >:( >:(

Yea, they are already saying Maria is duplicating Irma's path.  It won't be boring!  :)

At my advanced age, it may well determine the time frame of my visit to my brother in Tacoma.  :) It sure as hell will determine my prep package .  My 97year old neighbor is my primary concern. She always calls herself "my other mother" I WILL sacrifice a lot to cover her.  7 yards cleanup , primarily by myself after Irma kept me busy in mindless physical work. 2 HAD to go to work, 2  are too damn old, 3 are out of town. One 80 year old neighbor refused my help and did it herself. This woman has a Buick Grand National in her garage in 100% pristine condition! Drool!  ;D

Bad, if I were you, I'd start restocking and getting ready now (or very soon at least). We've all seen the inevitable rush on supplies 1-4 days before projected landfalls. The stores had empty shelves here in Texas and I know it was the same in Florida, as always before a storm. If it misses Florida (I hope), you're ready early for the next one, which there could be this crazy hurricane year.
Come and take it.

I went to the supermarket this morning. The shelves are bare of canned goods, eggs, ice and certainly bottled water. It does look like there is gas available. Since I didn't lose power, I didn't touch my food supplies. I may have to do a booze run.    ;D
