I bought my wife the Vanguard Camilla last year and she loves it. I showed her the Mark V Camilla and she liked it until she saw the price. Lol. I don't think she has Weatherby fever just yet.

The 28 gauge offering(s) are "gone".

Still no 20 gauge O/U's.

I love my PA-08 and it's good selling model for us - oh well, progress I guess...

Thanks for pointing that out, I might have to try out a box of the 140 VLD hunting ammo when it becomes available to see how my rifle likes them. It's tough reading the catalog with my iPad mini though, looking forward to the paper catalog coming.

Just looked up the magnum calibers and all the Vanguards that have the magnum calibers listed have 26" barrels. I just found something to spend my tax return on. A 257 Sporter.

Looks like the 6.5-300 is now available in three of the Vanguard models.  Accuguard, Synthetic and, Wilderness.

It appears to me that the powers to be at Weatherby have listened to their customers and added a few things that have been asked for. I for one love the longer barrels on the Camillas. Thinking once I get my Semi Auto rifled 12g, a Mark V DGR .375 H&H that is at my local gunshop plus a new custom stock on My .460 WBY I will but myself a new Mark V Camilla in .270...
