Anybody used these on whitetail? I'll either hunt with these or 110gr Accubond. My rifle loves the Sierras though. Most of my shots will be within 75yds, possible out to 300. Any testimonials on this bullet for closer range shots. I know it's not bonded so that gives me worries.

I'm shooting 69gr IMR 7828. I'm dying to use em but a little worried about bullet failure.

I don't hunt my 257 but would be leery about a non-bonded bullet on a white-tail.

Not because they are tough but because you often get a close shot and I just don't know whether or not a gameking would really "come apart" and make a mess.

I hit a deer at 17 yards with a much slower 30.06 and had a BTHP just evaporate. When I got the deer opened up it looked like someone had let got with 5 or 6 rounds of #8 birdshot from inside shooting to the offside shoulder (which was just bloodshot and pitted with grains the size of sand).

I decided then and there that a "stout" bullet was in order.

Devastating killers out to 200 yards.Yes,you will tear up some meat.Past 200 yards they don't come apart so bad,but still kill well.Had a lot of DRT kills past 200.The deer I was shooting with them were 135 pounds on the hoof.

I used them in a 25-06. The worked great. Devastating kills. Seemed to do exactly what I wanted in every situation. I had one stop under the farside hide of a 8 point buck at approx 75 yds. Sent another (same ammo/gun combo) through and through 2 pigs (one bullet) at 25ish yards.

Thanx for the replies folks! I'll definitely have to try em. Think I'm gonna wait for my doe only hunts though.
