Wonder why they would test those loads from a 24" barrel? I'm pretty sure there is no factory offering for the 6.5-300 in anything but a 26" barrel.

Their max loads are more like starting loads. I am easily getting 3400fps with 140g and US869. So 2in. less barrel would still be 3350fps.

   No surprise to me. Most reloading data for weatherby cartridges is quite conservative. ctw

:PAbsolute success with my 6.5/300 is 89gr of US869,AOL 3.610, 143 grn Hornady ELDX,  velocity average 3250 
3400 altitude. 1/2”grouping 👍

That bullet shoots good in my 6.5-284 and a friends 260.
The only thing taken so far is a few coyotes this winter, worked good
