Nightforce base and rings only

Trying IMR4831, 225 grain TTSX. I really liked that bullet in 338 win mag, hopefully I can get it to shoot well in this rifle

Looks like a nice setup, my Arroyo in 340 liked the 225 ttsx factory ammo. I wish my room looked 1/2 as clean as yours, looking forward to your range results.

Nice rig. You are going to love the .340. Mine loves the standard 225 TSX. For some reason it didn't like the TTSX. So I gave them to a mate and they shot good in his rifle... Don't figure lol

Good luck with the Vortex.  My 340 destroyed 2 Viper PSTs before I gave up and went to Nightforce.

Mine shoots 300 grain accubonds really well.

The Vortex scopes I have stood up to 416 Rem Mag., 375 H&H, 340 WBY and 325 WSM without even a blink. :)

Nice rifle, and like the BogPod set up you have.  Shoot, your rooms looks nothing like mine, it looks nice and clean.

That's a very nice looking set up, good luck with it.

The first one the elevation turret came completely off on the first shot...as in, separated fron the tube.  Returned it to Vortex,  they replaced it.  That scope would not hold zero.   Elevation would change with each shot.   Sent it in, again they replaced it.  I will give them props for their customer service.  I promptly put it on eBay, sold it, and bought a Nightforce NXS.

Now that Nightforce has the SHV line, Im not sure why anyone would own a Vortex.  Better scopes all around... better made, better glass,  and similar price to the PSTs.

Well l know a friend that had a nightforce and is selling it and getting a Vortex gen II. Everyone has an  opinion and what they like.
I do have a nightforce target scope on my benchrest rifle, but other than that l think they are over priced for what you get.
But we will see, l hope Vortex will take the 340 recoil

What ammo are you going to try first and are you going to load for it?
