Looking for scope mount and rings

Hi I am a newbie. Buying my first Weatherby rifle, Vanguard 2 308 Youth model. I am looking for a good scope mount and rings for my Leopold VX 1 scope. Rifle and scope are Matte black. While reading multiple post I see a lot complaints about the Leupold mounts not working that good. Thanks

Many of us shooting S2's would mount with nothing other than Talley Lightweight's.

They are a combo ring/mount in one and Talley makes them especially for S2's/Howa 1500's. Most other mfg's lump the S2 mounts in with the Rem 700 specs and they are not exactly the same.

If you call Talley and order from them they will tell you which set you need (part #) to match the scope you plan on using.
