Fellow Weatherby hunters, going to have an Accubrake put on my 6.5 300, I've never had a gun with one, I know a lot of the muzzle blast will be going sideways, along with supposedly a big increase on noise, do y'all think it's nessesary to wear some sort of hearing protection while hunting? If so, what have y'all used? Like the look of the electronic models, don't have any experience with them either, any input would be appreciated☺

I have used the Walker game ears for a couple years now. For two reasons my earing isn't what it used to be and my shotgun is ported.

I use Walker Game Ears too, I like being able to adjust the volume on the muffs if it's windy I turn them way down. When I take the brake off my ULW I usually go without hearing protection.
