I know it's colder in a lot of places,but we aren't set up for weather like we're getting now and especially New Years day.23 here this morning and with wind chill it feels like 11.Supposed to be 14 in New Year's morning.Hope the wind is not blowing or wind chill could be 0.

It's even chilly here in South Florida! 44 this morning when it's usually low 60's!

this morning it's -33C(-27F) before the wind here and it feels not bad compared to yesterday morning    It was -39C(-38F) before the wind yesterday morning and it didn't get above -30C all day. I didn't get the natural gas line trenched over to my old shop from my other new shops last summer, and the old shop is still on propane heat. The propane was froze yesterday morning  and the old Kenworth feed truck in there was all froze up. It took all day yesterday just to get the heat working and the truck running. The joys of the north

I understand you guys aren't used to the cold or set up for much cold but it's hard to show much sympathy when we are -30 or more.

It's so cold here I got my insulated coveralls, pac boots and goose down parka on! It's a bone chilling 68! LOL! BTW, Frozen Margaritas on my patio at 1630!

That's exactly why I was able to go ice fishing yesterday when it was 2 degrees....  Heck 2 degrees is WAY warmer than -30.

Have to agree with you, cold weather is no fun when your not set up for it, come to think of it, it sucks when you are. It is why l moved from Wisconsin to Colorado

We've done nothing but fall all day long.17 now with wind chill it is 1.Now the weatherman says 10 in the morning.

Keep the heater on, and open one faucet to a small drip to keep water flowing so you won't have frozen pipes.

It's currently -4 at my house and I'm loving it but I have a major problem, I can't decide if I should go muzzle loader hunting or ice fishing in the morning.  Hmmmmmmm that's a tough one.  On Friday it's supposed the temperature range is supposed to be -9 for the low and -1 for the high.  I LOVE it, finally a good old fashioned cold winter for us ice fishermen.

Ahh you blokes are teasing me! Would love to be in that nice cold weather right now. I live in one of the coldest parts of Australia and it's going to be 30C (86f) here today. And I feel the heat big time. Some parts of my state will hit 45C+...
