Were talking about a .257 weatherby here. All that is needed is one in the chamber, no need for a magazine!!! ;D

   All my rifles have hinged floor plates and never created a problem for me in the light of day or darkness. Clips on the other hand get snagged on just about every thing, gloves,clothing,brush,and can quite easily become detached while hunting. Thank you weatherby for my hinged floor plates; I think I'll keep them. On a side note try tipping your rifle upside down while unloading,release floor plate place hand over open magazine well turn rifle right side up while the cartridges gently fill your hand. wha-la easier then tying your shoe laces.  ctw
