Saw this stock on eBay today. Going to watch it and see where it goes. Looks like it would fit with minor if any mods needed

Looks like a nice stock! I think I'm going with the Boyds Claro XX stock with an angeled bubinga wood tip and white line spacer. I cant determine if the satin or gloss would fit the rifle better?  ???

Personally, I usually go for the higher luster finishes. That said, I think either way would look nice. I have a Mark V with a glossy-ish sporter stock and matte finish on the metal. It contrasts nicely.

I like the high-polished blue better than the matte, but everything in my price range these days is matte.

Im keeping an eye on it. I'd be spending over $400 on a stock from Boyds.  If it stays under $200-$250 I'd seriously consider it.

Cool!! Let me know how it fits together and if you need to make any inletting mods. I'm thinking as long as the barrel contour matches the channel, you should be good.

Are you going to glass bed it?

I'll let you know and post pics when its together. I installed Boyds stock on 3 other rifles (2 were a vanguard and vanguard s2) both only needed minor fitting.

Ill see how it shoots. As long as the groups aren't terrible. I only use my rifles to hunt and don't get to shoot much. Especially now with a 2 year old son.

Hey Scott, did you get the stock yet? Curious how it looks in person.

I ordered some Barnes LRX 127 gr projectiles a few days ago. Now gonna hunt down some Hodgdons US 869 to put behind it!

The stock is beautiful, for being used it was in perfect shape with no dents or scratches! The stock has alittle more character than my vanguard deluxe in 300 wby. Its hard to tell from the pictures. It just dropped right in, no sanding at all! The barrel is slightly free floating but just barely and I am going to see how she shoots before I would sand some of it down.
