Sorry about your loss Doug. Ill keep you, your wife, and family in my prayers.

I myself lost my dad just over 3 months ago to the same disease but his was esophageal cancer. He was only 47.  Its tough to watch them go but your relieved the pain and suffering is over. Ill keep you in my prayers.

Wow, Scott. So sorry to hear you lost your dad so early. I know your pain, having my own leave well before retirement age as well. I will be praying peace over you and your family as you grieve. I can only tell you the wound heals and the scar stops hurting so bad over time. Be faithful to the man he raised you to be and you will make it through.

Sorry about the loss of your father Scott, I too lost my father to esophageal cancer 3 years ago. I saved a bunch of roses and would hang one in the branches of the little pine he sat against deer hunting. The first year I did it, there was a large scrap were he sat! Funeral home tonight and the funeral is tomorrow :'( :'( :'(

It sounds like your wife is truly in a better place.  It is difficult to let go.  In some ways, we never do.  As difficult as things are now, there will be a time when her memory makes you smile.  Make sure you spend a good bit of time with friends and family.  An idle mind sure can get off into dark places.
