What would be a fair value of a WBY Mark V deluxe with very nice wood, however it has seen some use as a hunter.  Chambered in .30/06.  It is left handed which I want.  Thanks guys.

That's tough to say without seeing it. If it's in great condition, with no cracks in the gloss finish on the stock, and just a few marks from being afield, and the bluing is perfect, it could be worth $1200 or so. If it has a fair number of dings, cracked finish, bluing worn off the muzzle, floorplate, and/or action, and other imperfections, that value could drop to $800-1000. If it looks like it's been dragged behind a truck down a gravel road, you might get it for $550-650.

It being a left-hand gun adds value for you, but it makes it harder to sell overall, so kind of a wash. Don't fall for the "it's a lefty so it's 25% more" hogwash. And being an -06 doesn't help the value. Weatherby chambering are worth more than standards, generally.

Ultimately, it will depend on how bad you want it, how frequently you come across left-hand Mark V Deluxes, and whether you want a 30-06 or a Weatherby chambering.

Thanks Dubyam,
it does have some bluing off the muzzle, however the rifling looks supberb.  I know the Weatherby calibres are more valuable but the wood is very nice with a few scratches but nothing deep.  The owner will trade me straight up
for a very nice Pre 64 model 70 Win featherweight in 30/06 that does shoot very well.  I like the idea that it is left-handed where as the Winchester is not.

Just made the trade and it looks good.  One question?  Does the magazine follower seem a bit sloppy on those Mark V made in Japan?   Thanks
