The last year that I lived in Colorado (Steamboat Springs) the thermometer hit -54 F and 270 some inches of snow fell in town.  Thankfully I haven't seen either of those figures since.

We are going through a hot spell here in GA, with temps in the high 70s, but it gets in the 50s at night.

The way the wind is blowing l dont think it's 72 in the house with the heat on. The dog is  curled up in a ball on the bed
