Sure looks like one. I have used them also. My uncle used to have a sawmill and we used can hooks is what we called them to roll the logs onto the carriage

It does look like a Peavey that is used to roll logs but I have never seen one with a handle that short.

Probably is a log roller but another option would be a ice block carrier. I remember my X wife's grandfather telling me that he used to cut blocks of ice from Rondeau Bay back in the 40's and carry them back to shore with a apparatus that looked much like this.

Probably is a log roller but another option would be a ice block carrier. I remember my X wife's grandfather telling me that he used to cut blocks of ice from Rondeau Bay back in the 40's and carry them back to shore with a apparatus that looked much like this.
