Rebarrel to 7 mm Wby

Rebarrel to 7 mm Wby

First post here.  (Guess I'll figure out pics, too.)
I have a new Lilja barrel on a very old German Mark V that was last in .300 Wby.
Any favorite loads?  The twist is 1/9 and I prefer the heavier bullets.

Good looking rifle. I too have only just got a 7mm wby, well a month or so ago but am still yet to shoot her.

Great choice of cartridge. In my 7mm Wea Norma MRP has been one of the best powders I've used with the 175 gr bullets. It also performed great with the 145 Barnes LRX.

The only 175gr load I have used in the 7mm Wby, is the Hornady interlock and H450. I used the 160gr partition or accubonds most of the time in this caliber.  I found IMR4831,IMR7828ssc, RL22, RL25, MRP work quite well with the 160's in my rifles.  8)

Hey, thanks!  Factory Federal 160-grain Trophy Bonded Tip offering appears to be Ramshot MAGNUM, so I have components to check / work up against Barnes data (for 160-grain MRX, another loooong fella)  --  don't know how they got all that powder in the case!  Proprietary maybe.  Anyhow, IMR 4831 seemed another favorite so I'll work that up with TTB's and Hornady 162-grain ELD-X.  Gonna use a mid-range load of IMR 4831 and ELD-X's for barrel break-in per my 'smith.  Then I can mess with those "silver bullets".

I recently got a 7mm Weatherby with a Shaw barrel (1:9.5 twist) that loves 140gn Nosler Partitions with H-1000, 150gn Hornady ELD-X, Nosler Accubond Long Range, Swift Scirocco IIs with H-1000 and RL-26 (and I don’t remember which ones exactly, but they work), 162gn Hornady Interlocks with H-4350 and 175gn ELD-X Bullets with RL-26.
So far, I have only looked for the accurate loads and everything is looking good enough for hunting accuracy with a 300 yard zero. I will chronograph the best loads later.
