What dies are you using for your Weatherby?

RCBS and Redding. I had a set of Hornady and liked them but they only went about 3 threads into my press...

Lee - 9mm, .45ACP, .44 Mag, 5.56, .243 Win, .270 Win, .30-06
RCBS - .38-.357, .308 Win. .300 Savage
Lyman - .30 Carbine (rifle & pistol), .45 Colt, .40-65 (black powder), .45-110 (black powder)

Trying to decide on my first Weatherby rifle and dies for .340. Leaning towards Forster or Redding

Rcbs and Redding. Can’t remember who recommended Redding to me on this site when I first joined a few years ago? when I first got the 6.5-300 but thank you. They are nice. I do use hornady dies for a couple calibers and I like the seating stem choices that fit their bullets. I might get a vld seating stem for the Redding dies for the 300 weatherby to try the longer bullets.

In my opinion, Redding dies are the only way to go. Forester dies are good too. I believe Redding uses tighter tolerances than other die makers. The reason I say this is because I was using a set of either Hornady or RCBS (can’t remember specifically between the two) to load 300 Ultra Mag. I needed to set the shoulder back on a case .002” below min. SAAMI spec to make a seater dummy for a seating depth gauge a gunsmith friend made for me. I treaded the dies down to where the press had a hard cam over. I couldn’t get the shoulder set back the .002” I needed. I got a set of Redding dies and they got it done without a hard cam over. Of course die selection depends on what features you like in a reloading die best. One thing I do like about the Forester dies is the seating dies. I like the bullet alignment sleeve in the die to minimize bullet runout. It’s all what you like. Just my 2 cents.

RCBS will be the ones I'll get for my 257. Always had good luck with them.

RCBS for my two Weatherbys and most of my other rifles.  I have a set of Forster for my .223 and a set of Redding dies for my 6.5 X .280 AI.  All function well but I do like the sliding sleeve on the Forster seating die.

.257

What don't you like about the sleeve on the Forster?
