Enjoy the rifle, those take downs are really nice and way ahead of their time as with a lot of things from Savage arms

If your in the market for a rifle scope for your 300 Savage, the Burris Fullfield E1 line in 3x9x40 or 4.5x14x42 have exceptional glass for the money you'll spend. If you have a sporting goods store near by that carries them, I would suggest you at least take a look through them and see what you think.  Right now they're on sale at a lot of on-line retailers and would be good glass for any rifle and has the Forever Warranty. I was looking on eBay, which has a 100% money back guarantee on any purchase your not satisfied with and there were some good prices on the Burris scopes. Some dealers had auctions, some had buy it now, some said make an offer and they were all new scopes with 30 day returns. Heres one as an example and you may find lower prices somewhere else.(I bought a 4.5x14 last week and got a really good deal) Some people are skeptical about buying on eBay though.

Thanks Danno, I'll take a look at them.
I love the smell of deer guts in the morning, it smells like...VICTORY!
