I know it's not a Weatherby cartridge but was wondering if anyone here has one or has played with it?

My dad had one made on a Springfield action in the 1970's. Same as the 30-338 wildcat. Accurate but on the Sporterized Springfield has pretty harsh recoil. Somewhere between 300 WSM and 300 Win Mag. ballistically. We made cases from 338 Win Mag as Norma brass was hard to find. Pretty easy to load for.

A  friend of mine had one and I used it from time to time. It was an Alpine with a 24" barrel. Basically a clone of a Parker- Hale. Good rifle. Good accurate and powerful round. Every bit the equal of the 300 Win mag. As far as the specs Oldchet pretty well summed it up.

Thanks for the comments fellows. I'm thinking this one fell threw the cracks and needs to be revised.

Used to have one very good caliber. My first magnum caliber also done a running whitetail buck at 650 yds, hunting partners were amazed at the range it would shoot . That rifle sold me on the 30 cal.
