Neighbor and I did a hog hunt Saturday nite

Cranked up the AR's Saturday nite. Hunting off electric golf cart and easing around on 1100 acres.

Dang! How many is that? Think I count 9? You guys using any type of night vision or just a spotlight and good quick shooting? Do I remember correctly that you use a 6.5 Grendel?

We were using Don's Bad Boy Stealth buggy.Rear wheel drive is gas and front wheels run off batteries.Make runs using the gas and then switch over to the quiet batteries when you get to hunting areas.Before he got this we were taking 2 electric carts to be able to hunt most of the nite.I have been keeping an eye out for a nice priced used one. He has 2 small green Led lights on the front of the buggy to drive by and it doesn't spook the hogs at all when going up on them.

DW: I use the Grendel and have a green light mounted on my scope as well as a green laser.Pretty Good out to 100 yds.Don just got a thermal imaging scope and it is working great for him but he says it takes some getting used to on the running shots.

The running shot with night vision is something I’m still getting used too for sure. I like y’alls setup for staying quiet. Obviously effective.

There are a lot of hogs.The property is mostly wooded.He feeds year round partly I think to keep the hogs around as he likes to hunt them so much.Couple of creeks run through the property plus there are several ponds on it so there are water sources.

There are some very good deer.From game camera Picts we pulled while there the racks are growing good.Bucks are really hitting the protein feeders.Unfortunately lol only family get to hunt the deer.

My dad and brother hunted in College Station under the full moon Thursday night, but didn't see anything.
