Yep as DWS I do have a few of those Z3's. If memory serves I have the 4-12x42 with BRH reticle on a Mark V ULW in .240 Wby. The same scope with just plain 4A reticle on e Remington 700 in 7mm rem mag. The smaller 3-9x32 with 4A reticle on a Mark V DGR in .375 H&H. Plus a 4-12x50 on a CZ Varmint in .204 ruger.
I think that is all the Z3's I have and YES I do rate them very highly. You get great glass and a tough as nails scope for quite a reasonable price.
I don't think you will go wrong with putting one of them on your new rifle.

It has come down to a Swaro  z3  4-12x50 or a Nikon Monarch 5 3-10x50.  The thing is the Nikon is a discontinued model. I think ihave to sleep more nights on it to make the decision.

I have a Monarch on my 270WSM. To my eyes it is outstanding glass. I’ve set with it on a night time pig hunt and been able to make out pigs at around 100 yards from just moon and starlight.

Mine has the BDC reticle. I know some are not a fan of the Nikon circles, but I’ve been able to make accurate shots out to around 350 yards with it. I could probably push that farther but just haven’t tried with that particular set up before. The Swaro is great too though, good decision to have to make!

Just about all scopes become discontinued. I have several that are now discontinued. However they are still warranted and as long as the company honors the warranty I'm good. I have sent back A Leupold VX1 I bought in 1991 twice, a Burris Fullfield 1991, a Nikon Prostaff 2009. All repaired/replaced with no problem. So I wouldn't let a discontinued model from a reputable company stop me from buying it.

Well I picked the discontinued Nikon Monarch 5  2.5-10x50 hopefully it gathers light like the reviews say. Will post pics of the whole set up. With the advanced bdc etched into the glass on the sfp.
