Weatherby Accumark 6.5 Creedmoor
« on: July 15, 2018, 11:22:43 AM »
Hello All -

New member here from PA.  I have a new Weatherby Accumark coming in this week in 6.5 Creedmoor and would like to reload specifically for hunting. After some research and talking with a few guys I am leaning towards using H4350 powder with a 140 grain Nosler Accubond bullet. I will use the reloading data as my guide however is there any good recipes on powder charges, cartridge length etc. using this reloading combination (H4350 powder and 140 grain Nosler Accubonds) and Accumark rifle? Any information would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Ron

Welcome to the nation! I would find out what bullet and weight the rifle likes before deciding. Every rifle is different.  :)

Of the guns I've loaded for they all like 41-42 grains H4350 with the 140-143grain bullets. All have been extremely easy to load for.

All - Thanks so much for the information. Appreciate the feedback that I received so far. I did notice that 41-42 grains seems to be the favorite with the 140 grain bullet. I also noticed in the Nosler reloading manual that 41.0 grains of H4350  is max load for the 140 grain Accubond.

I plan on putting a Leupold VXII 3x9-40 on the new rifle. I will only be hunting with it and its been one of my favorite Leupold hunting scope models.

Thanks
Ron

I havent loaded that one, but if the  140's dont work out try the e-tips or gmx bullets.

Finally received the Mark V Accumark rifle and all reloading components. I will be using H4350 and a 140 Nosler Accubond.  Any recommendations on bullet seating depth? I see Nosler has the tested depth setting at 2.805. I  know all rifles are different but looking for anyone that has some good recommendations on where to start in regards to bullet seating depths for this rifle.

My experience is with 142 Smk and 143 ELD-X and I can load either with the die set at same depth for both and get sub half MOA. I simply load max magazine length in my Rpr.

I bought some Hornady factory ammunition with the 143 ELD-X bullets and they measure 2.810.
