Question for owners with 270 Winchester Weatherby

I just purchased a new Mark V Deluxe in 270 Winchester caliber.  For those of you that have a Weatherby Mark V in this caliber what ammunition you have found shoots the best in your rifles?

Out of mine the most accurate ammo is the Federal Premium Vital-Shok Ammunition with the 130 Grain Sierra GameKings.
Nothing is better than a Weatherby, big bore magnum, or a Colt.

My old Winchester 140 gr Fail safes group at 1” MOA.
Wish I bought a few more boxes back then.
Federal Premium 130 gr. Game Kings were all right, just around 1-1/2”

I haven't used any commercial cartridges for years sooo, I do like my Failsafe load of 140gr, 79 gr of RL24 @ 3300fps. JM

Not a MK V but, my first Weatherby was an S1 in 270 Win. and its the only rifle that I've ever run the break-in procedure on. After that I shot Win. Fail safe, Hornady SP and Hornady SST, Federal fusion, Federal Vital shock, and Remington core-lokt's,(all in 130 gr.)and they all printed variations of sub-moa. Since then, I've settled on using Hornady 140 gr. BTSP that print 1/2" moa. I'd be very surprised if your MK V couldn't do the same thing and even better with hand loads.

My accuguard shoots Barnes 130 grain the best. All of my gunshot Barnes great. They shhot the Fusion good also but I think the Barnes is cleaner.

When I first got my .270 I used the Federal Hi-Power bullets in 130 grain which would group five shots between 1/2 and 3/4 of an inch depending on how well I was shooting that day.  I'm not sure but I think they still make them but they renamed them to the Federal Power-Shok 130 grain Soft Point.

I have an Vanguard S2 and just got it out to the range yesterday. I shot Nosler Trophy Grade with Accubond 130's. After a short break in, it was shooting sub moa, (didn't measure), repeatedly in 3 shot groups with a cool down in between. I'll probably stick with that since it's the same bullet type that I shoot out of my McMillan 270 WSM.

You must have your calibers mixed up, There is no way your putting 79 grains of powder in a 270 Winchester case

Definitely odd, Alliant doesn't make a RL24 (at least not now) and the Weatherby 270 Magnum holds 79g of water not powder and bullet. The saving grace is that since Alliant doesn't make RL24 nobody can try that recipe.
