Recommendation on preferred 130 grain bullets in 270 Wby. Mag

I just purchased a new Mark V Deluxe and a Southgate Weatherby in 270 Weatherby Magnum caliber.

Asking for recommendations on what 130 grain bullet you all might recommend.

If you're looking at Factory ammo, I'd suggest a bonded core (Accubond/Interbond/Scirocco depending on what's available, as not all of those may be loaded in factory ammo), Nosler Partition, or Barnes TTSX.

If you're handloading, I'd take a look at the same bullets, but throw in the Nosler E-Tip.  My experience with E-Tips is they are harder to load than a lot of bullets, for best precision.  But, once you find a good load, you're all set.  On-game performance on multiple northern Alabama white-tails has been stellar, and I would not hesitate to use these bullets on Elk, either.

If your handloading don't over look Nosler 130g ballistic tips, I have shot many large mule deer with them at around 3500 fps and they kill like lightning. Shots varied from 20 to 450 yards.

+1 , I've have had good results with the 130gr Ballistic tip in my 270 Wby Ultralight. The load I use is not the fastest (3350 fps) but the rifle shoots them well, and I have taken quite a few mule deer, an Ibex, mouflin sheep, and a fallow deer, all 1 shot kills, with that load.  8)

Any of the bullets Dubyam suggested will work fine also, just find the one your rifle likes.

I've had great accuracy and performance from the 130 gr Hornady spire point in my 270 Wea.

I agree with Canadian Reloader about the 130 grain Hornady Spire Points.  We tried them in the custom Euromark that I bought my Dad for Father's Day and they shoot half MOA or better depending on how well we do our part.  As for their performance on deer they're great, he shot over a dozen with it and never had one take more than two steps after being hit.
Nothing is better than a Weatherby, big bore magnum, or a Colt.

I've shot the inexpensive Wetherby 130 Spitzer bullets with great success.  I've taken a couple of Georgia white tail with this ammo with great success.

I have great success with the Barnes 130gr TTSX. Every Whitetail I have shot was DRT. I highly recommend them.

Has anybody tried Hornady GMX 130 gr reloads?
