Put the blind out today

Put the blind out today

Did some digging and brush removal. I usually put my blind on a hillside so that was where most of the digging went on. Had some tall stuff outside the blind too.
I also moved my tripod. Nothing major there. Moved it about 40 or so yards back so we could see on either side of a ravine.

Chris, Nice blind but I'd put some small limbs or pine branches on the roof. That roof stands out in the pic. ;)
I love the smell of deer guts in the morning, it smells like...VICTORY!

During gun seasone we need it on there. That’s why I usually put it in August or real early September so the deer get used to it. Every state has a dumb law.

That is a dumb law. Looks like you will have close in shots from the way the area looks.
Come and take it.

Usually they are very close. I get deer that sneak up on me all the time. There is corn directing in front of me and then a little to the south of me. To the left as the picture is taken there is a long draw or a shallow ravine. I get a lot of deer later in the season with a firearm on that side. Where I took the picture my daughters and I have prolly shot 1/2 dozen or more deer standing about 5-10 yards in front of me.
You should see it when there is snow and the corn not being turned over. I like the no till for sure.
90% of the deer I kill is from this spot every year. I get a lot of deer kicked up drove towards me during gun season. Using a bow in this blind sometimes takes a lot of patience and you must wait for the right shot.
