I've left scope on 6 put parallax on 100 then went to 15 put parralax on 500 and same holes at   100 and 300 I've checked everything it's all tight adjusted scope every way that could cause problem it didn't . I've been shooting guns like this forever and know ballisticly it's not possible that's why it's bothering me so bad. Same gun has had three new scopes on it in 6 months thinking they where problem cause I couldn't find a load it would shoot including weatherby factory  stuff finally found perfect load now it's doing this.

This is why I think it's something else than a scope problem, 3 different scopes, and a hard time finding a factory load or other loads to shoot well. This will be interesting to find out what the problem is.

Rob l would agree with muzzlebreak and or crown if it wasn't shooting a 5 shot .35 group
Your right this is interesting

if it was the crown and or break it would not group at 100 yrds. I think it all has to do with all the scope adjustments the op is doing. I am not trying to be rude or mean or anything like that.

So there we have it!

Powerwagon44, what kind of groups you get at 300yd now? You gonna hunt with it without the brake and send it in to be fixed after?

Now at 300 i have a 3 shot group you can cover with a nickel I'll use it for deer season then send it in to get it fixed. I have no idea how it was grouping at 100 like it was but guess you learn something new every day

I have no idea either on why it would group good at 100, it was the same with my neighbor's rifle. Glad you figured it out.  8)

Did Weatherby put the accubrake on the rifle? You mention that you've owned the rifle for 6 months, but don't mention whether you bought it new or used. If Weatherby did the work, definitely send it back after deer season. If Weatherby didn't do the work, what are the chances that the brake is good, but the rifle threading is off just enough not to fit perfectly. I've seen projects coupled together and made to work even though the threading wasn't exact, but the brake on a rifle wouldn't be one of them. Just throwing out a late possibility. Have a good hunting season.
