7mmwby ammo

Hey Gang

with the 340 it just seems the 250gr bullets are a perfect match. is there one that just works better than the rest in the 7mmwby? I get that rifles shoot differently with different ammo but is there one that just plain works. I am a factory ammo guy 1 day I will roll my own but now its just factory ammo.

I dont Have A 7mm Wby. But I have had A 7mm rem for 35 years. if your looking for A bridge the gap 1 load does it all. A good place to Start is 160 Gr. Partitions or Accubond.

In factory Weatherby ammo, the 154 gr sp or one of the 160 gr loads are hard to beat.

My Accumark loves the factory 154 load. Only other factory load I’ve tried was the 150 BST and it did not like them at all, wouldn’t mind trying one of the TTSX loads sometime here, but shoots the 154 so well, haven’t been in much of a hurry to try others.
It is one of the better priced options also when it comes to Wby factory Ammo.

Mine prefers the 150g BT's factory and hand loads and 150 partitions if I had to hunt elk with it.

Mine has an equal love of a 150gn Scirocco II, ELD-X, Partition and Accubond Long Range. It also does very well with a 162gn Interlock bullet. Since there is no real difference in the POI of the 150s, I'm going with them for deer season this year.

I roll my own with 154 grain sst and interbond,as for factory ammo mine shoots the 154 grain interlock and 150 bst under an inch kinda depends on what your shooting at but its hard to beat the 154 grain sp as a good all around bullet, the 150 bst is a good bullet for deer but its a bit explosive under 100 yards,if I ever get to elk country I'll go with the 160 grain partition

You lucky dog, you have a Varmintmaster.  :'(  I still want one, and hope to get one some day.
